A modern, airy venue, with lots of windows revealing a unique vista of Lavaux and Lake Geneva, Le Caveau Corto is the ideal place for your professional or private events. We will be happy to reserve a table for you or arrange for private hire outside our weekend opening times.

Private hire

The whole venue and its facilities are available for hire from November to April. During the season, from April to October, private hire is only possible during the week.

We’ll be happy to provide local produce, mineral water, tea and coffee for your private drinks parties and meals at Le Caveau Corto (download list in PDF).

The FAQ

When is the winery available for hire?

It can be hired all year, from Monday to Thursday.

From April to November, the winery is in use by the Grandvaux winegrowers every weekend (from Friday evening to Sunday evening) but hire is available during the week.

The venue can be hired every day from November to April, depending on availability.

How much does it cost?

The hire charge is 400 francs a day, including cleaning.

How many people can it accommodate?

The winery can accommodate 40 people seated and up to 60 people standing (ten 80 x 80 cm tables and forty chairs are included).

What drinks are allowed?

The hirer is required to order and consume the alcoholic beverages offered by members of Le Caveau Corto and must choose the wines of that week’s winegrower as a priority.

Since this venue is primarily intended for tasting and promoting local wines, no other alcoholic beverages are permitted (such as beer, spirits and so on).

What equipment and facilities are available?
  • Sink with hot and cold water
  • Fridge
  • Glass washer and 60 glasses
  • Toilets with toilet paper, sink and hand dryer
  • No kitchen
  • No tableware or cutlery
  • Caterer allowed (except for fondue, raclette and grills)
Where can we park?

The Bugnon car park, on the west side of Grandvaux, has space for visitors and can easily accommodate about fifteen vehicles. Traffic attendants are sometimes available to help guests park on the Route de la Corniche, depending on the number of events taking place in the village. The Caveau Corto committee notifies the Lutry police (APOL) of the upcoming event.

Until what time can we use the venue?

Doors and patio doors must be closed at 10 p.m. so as not to disturb local residents.

The official closing time is midnight, unless a special exception is granted.

Private wine tastings

Would you like to discover the Lavaux wine region exclusively as a group? Benefit from the tailor-made offer of one of our winegrowers, upon reservation and outside the regular opening times.

As a group of 15 persons or more, you will spend unforgettable moments with a wine producer and taste his wines.

Costs: List price of Caveau Corto plus CHF 50.—for tidying and cleaning. The adjacent flat-rate offers can be booked in advance.

Flat-rate offers for groups

Offer 1: 3 glasses of wine per person with bread assortment, CHF 15.– per adult person.

Offer 2: 3 glasses of wine per person with a Tomme cheese or dried meat and bread assortment, CHF 25.– per adult person.

Offer 3: 3 glasses of wine per person with a Tomme cheese or dried meat and bread assortment, plus a Corto wineglass as a souvenir, CHF 31.– per adult person.
